I truly can't resist a 3 for 2. So stepping into Superdrug after a bit of a soul-crushing day at uni, I felt the urge to buy something pretty!
Of course the Sleek Blush by 3 palette in Lace was just what I needed (loljk, as if I needed it). This coveted little beauty has been on my wishlist for ages and I even ended up buying the palette in Pumpkin by mistake when this was out of stock. My Superdrug Sleek stand has certain products that never, ever get restocked, or if they do they get snatched up quick, so I knew as this was the last on on the shelf it was now or never!
Corals and peaches are my favourite colours to wear on my cheeks and in this palette you get 3 great blushes, 2 matte and 1 shimmer, for £9.99 but you just have to be careful applying them because they're strongly pigmented. The middle shade is supposedly the same as Sleek's Rose Gold which is supposedly similar to Nars Orgasm, so confusion aside it's a win win.
My other two cosmetic buys were the Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eyeliners in Nude and Purple, which were cheaper than I thought they'd be at £3.99 each. I haven't had a chance to try these out properly but I did use the nude one yesterday, as I'd has less sleep than usual from staying up to watch Blue Crush, and it did give a wide awake look.
While my friend was browsing in the hair isle, I was sad to see that my beloved Batiste XXL Volume Dry Shampoo was still £3.99 a can! I'm down to my last can but because I can easily go through 1-2 cans of this in only a month, I prefer to wait and stock up when it's on 3 for 2 or reduced to 99p. I decided to then branch out and try the Samy Fat Hair Dry Spray Shampoo as the range was better than half price at £2.99. Fat Hair is a brand that's caught my eye before in Superdrug because I love a good voluminous product but I'm yet to try anything from them so I was willing to give this a go.
So far I've found the volume effect's not as strong as the Batiste XXL but it's a decent dry shampoo and the smells fresh like a shower gel.
I'm quite pleased that I didn't end up buying a lip product or a nail polish, it makes a change.
I don't know when the 3 for 2 on cosmetics offer finishes at Superdrug but at the moment it's available in store or online so it's a great time to pick up back ups of favourites, new make up for the Christmas party season or even little gifts and stocking fillers.
Unfortunately Superdrug's online shop doesn't always have their full selection of products on offer but they are offering free standard delivery until the 4th of December and £10 off a £50 online spend with the code GiftGuide12.
After I finish this post I'm off to enter some of Superdrug's competitions, you've got to be in it to win it!
