Rimmel Colour Show Off Lipstick in Kiss Me: Review and Swatches

I find describing the colour of this lipstick so hard. Sometimes it looks orangey toned and other times more pink toned, so it would be a good neutral red to fit most skin tones. The texture is like a satin with good colour pay off and not a lot of shine, however this doesn't dry out my lips.

I remember spotting these for £1.99 each on a discount make up stall in a shopping centre and remembering the distinctive packaging and bright colours from when Ruby had used them on Hollyoaks, while she was going through an especially evil phase applying bright red lipstick all the time on camera, and way before they started placing  L'Oreal products in every shot. Although this colour is bright, it can be used like a stain and rubbed into the lips for a more natural look.

Some may find the packaging tacky but I love it, especially for a range called colour show off! The only problem I've ever had with these lipsticks is I'm not overly keen on the taste. I don't like the taste of any Rimmel lip products I've tried because I find them overly flowery or soapy but if those tastes don't bother you then you should be fine.

I'm gutted this line of lipsticks seems to have been discontinued, on the bright side though it means that you can pick up the range for under £4 when the RRP was over £6. There's lots of shades available on eBay for £3.99 and maybe check pound shops or discount make up shops to grab a bargain.
