Barry M Lipstick in Coral 53: Review and Swatches

This Barry M lipstick in Coral was my first foray into coral lipsticks a couple of summers ago and oh how my collection has grown since. Barry M lipsticks are kind of infamous on blogs and YouTube as although they're popular, they do have a reputation for their strange formulas.

The pictures of this actually make me think 'oh what a nice lipstick you have there' but unfortunately for me in real life this is not the case. Although the colour on camera looks quite flattering, the tone of it just doesn't suit my skin tone and looks odd, which I noticed on some pictures that were taken of my when I was wearing this. This might also be down to the finish which is slightly frosty and really not my cup of tea.

Sadly the formula also feels drying and doesn't apply creamy or smooth, so it's one of those lipsticks which sits on the lips and feels strange, dry and uncomfortable so much that I end up like biting it off (disgusting I know). The lines in my lips stand out too much if I ever wear this and it really accentuates any dry patches which isn't really too attractive.

It's a shame because although this looks like something I'd enjoy, I don't wear it at all because of all it's faults.

However since I bought this shade a couple of years ago, Barry M have released a few more shades which apparently have a creamier texture so I would be willing to try out more shades in the future.
