Oral-B 3D White Brilliance Toothpaste: Review

I received this about a month ago to review and although it's not that exciting I thought I'd put up a quick review as I've just posted a similar one on

"Getting to work from the very first time you brush your teeth, 3D White Brilliance gives you visibly whiter teeth in just two weeks by removing up to 80% of surface stains. Its 3D technology helps clean the front, back and visible gaps between teeth, meaning teeth are naturally white from every angle.

TV presenter, Holly Willoughby, is the new face of Oral-B's premium beauty product, 3D White toothpaste. She says, "As a TV presenter, my smile is really important. To me beauty starts with a great smile and Oral-B 3D White is my must-have beauty product to achieve a beautiful, naturally whiter smile. It gave me visibly whiter teeth in just 2 weeks."

As press releases go, that ones quite fishy. My teeth weren't whiter in two weeks and the other reviews left suggested the same, this is just like the average whitening toothpaste. They also refer to this as 'Oral-B's premium beauty product' which shows they're trying to target us beauty junkies! The whole Holly Willoughby thing is a little over the top. I can't imagine that this product is the only thing she has ever used to make her teeth whiter.

I've tried the Oral-B total protection toothpaste and enjoyed the texture and taste a lot more as it contained beads that felt like they were really cleaning your teeth. However, I thought the whole point of that toothpaste was that it was complete care and combined elements from all the different types of toothpaste on the market, so I don't really understand why they're releasing a million and one other types of toothpaste too.

I received this before I started my blog or else I would have taken pictures to see if there was any noticeable change in the 2 weeks they specify.

Oral-B 3D White Brilliance Toothpaste - Boots - £3.49*

Love Georgia xxx

Update (November 2012): After using up the whole tube I definitely haven't seen any differences in the colour of my teeth. Maybe it's because I don't have a lot of 'surface stains' that the press release talks about like from tea/coffee, wine, cola drinks etc. I still prefer the original Oral-B toothpaste, as an overall product.

  1. I love Oral B! I always use it, but I usually use teeth whitening strips because a toothpaste can’t normally do all the work. My favourite brand is Stella white strips ;)

  2. Nice post :) I use Oral B but I prefer using a whitening pen instead of whitening toothpaste because the result are just soo much better :)
