On Monday I met up with my
make-up soulmate friend to get some last minute goodies before our night out and she gave me my birthday present. She seriously knows me so well as I've wanted similar products for ages but never got round to buying them. We had a lovely lunch in Yo Sushi (crispy salmon skin ISO, crunchy prawn and avocado ISO and pumpkin korroke - yum) and even squeezed in a Costa lemonade.
Pearl is a pale cream Cream Colour Base with a gold/champagne sheen which can be used to highlight the face and on the eyes. I've recently just got into using highlighters so I was so happy to be given this! I used it for a night out in Newcastle on Monday night and it looks great and is so easy to apply. You can just pop it on after all other face products to give a bit of shine and light back to your face or use it with a bit of bronzer for a bronze, glowing look.
Blossom Culture is a beautiful peachy/pink lipstick from the Sheen Supreme range. I only own regular MAC lipsticks and you don't tend to hear much about their other ranges, which is a shame as this one is gorgeous. The texture is described by MAC as 'combining the colour impact of a Lipstick with the shine sheen of a Lipglass' and the texture is how I expected the Revlon Lip Butters to be - however I found them a little sticky and frosty.
The gold pearl is very subtle and I'm looking forward to wearing this at work, where the air conditioning dries my lips out so badly. I also wore this out on Monday night and it was a great lipstick/lipgloss hybrid - not sticky like a gloss but still shiny. Definitely a winner in my eyes.
Ahh and my make-up addiction continues. I feel these little beauties might have fuelled it too - thanks Emma
